Located at 396 Manyeon-dong, Seo-gu, in the heart of arts district in Daejeon, Daejeon Culture & Arts Center is housed in a five-story building with a total area of 100,000 square meters which includes B2, F3 with 40,774 square meters of total floor area. There are two main venues for presenting various performances, which are the Arts Hall and the Ensemble Hall, and each hall is designed to be one of the most acoustically sophisticated concert halls equipped with the finest state-of-the art technology and systems in Korea. Also, the spacious training hall including 28 dressing rooms and 29 rehearsal rooms provides all performers with the best conditions for their rehearsal and relaxation. Besides the artistic venues, the center has a place for children under age of 8 and a Convention Hall equipped with simultaneous interpretation system. The area around the center is developed as a park where visitors can take a rest to enjoy outdoor performances. The Arts Hall is equipped with a 3-way system for right, left, and back sides which could be used as a main stage for large-scaled operas and concerts. The stage can be changed promptly for various settings, so the audience can enjoy the performance without any sense of breaking it off. The Ensemble Hall is composed of a main central stage and two protruding side stages. This hall has been designed to take the advantages of both a proscenium arch and a arena stage. Ensemble Hall is the perfect venue for Chamber Orchestra, theatre, and recital groups. It has 655 seats in two levels of auditorium and this cozy little place will help to share the artistic feeling between performers and audiences. The main stage of the Art Hall can be leaned at a 5.7 - degree angle. With this slant, the audience can see to the end of the stage. There are 10 personal dressing rooms and 18 group dressing rooms as well. Cutting-edge facilities such as five-language simultaneous interpretation and recording, wall-mounted projection screen and beam projector are installed for international meetings with a seating capacity of 90 people. Lobby is open to every visitor and a playroom for children enables parents accompanied with them to enjoy performances while their children are taken care of at the playroom. It is for outdoor performances. Unique performance like korean traditional outdoor plays can be performed. Parking lot is composed of two-story basement levels and outdoor parking lot with a capacity of 632 vehicles. The management building is for teams of management and maintenance. There are offices and practice studios for the Municipal Orchestra, ballet group, adult choir, and youth choir.
