About Daejeon Culture and Arts Center

Daejeon Culture and Arts Center had a grand opening in October 1st, 2003, in the Metropolitan City of Daejeon after 8 years of construction.
It consists of two different sized performance halls of Art Hall and Ensemble Hall, and an open theatre.
DCAC is beautifully located between Government Complex and the Expo Science Complex surrounded by the Daejeon Museum of Art and the Lee Ungno Museum of Art, Expo Plaza and two splendid arboretums all nearby.
Daejeon Culture and Arts Center puts about 250 performances on the stage annually ranging from classical music, play, dance, opera, musical to multidisciplinary genres.
Within the past 10 years, New York Philharmonic Orchestra led by Lorin Maazel, Violinist Sarah Chang, The Royal Ballet, Maurice Bejart Ballet Lausanne, Jacque Loussier Trio, Budapest Festival Symphony Orchestra, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, Philippe Herreweghe & Collegium Vocale Gent were some of who gave a thrill to Daejeon citizens.
In addition, Daejeon Culture and Arts Center has been not only presenting world-famous performances but also supporting local artists and organizations through win-win approach and guiding all ranges of audience from young students to adults to enjoy performance art more deeply by running various educational programs.
